The winner of Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva Shraddha Shashidhar, who was delegated Miss Universe India 2017 by on-screen character Shahid Kapoor on Wednesday, will now contend at the renowned Miss Universe show on November 26 in the US. A sum of 15 members were shortlisted for the last round and were judged by a lofty board that included Rajkumar Rao, Kabir Khan, Lara Dutta, Vijendra Singh, Chuck Russell and Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere.
Shashidhar, who lives in Chennai and did her tutoring from Army Public School, Deolali. The model and competitor is from an Army family, and has moved on from Sophia College for Women with a degree in Mass Communication.
At the Miss Diva finale, Peden Ongmu Namgyal (Sikkim) was decreed Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva – Supranational 2017, and Apeksha Porwal (Mumbai) as Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2017 second sprinter up. The amazing finale of the excellence show, which was held in Mumbai, was gone to by Bollywood VIPs and known identities, including Malaika Arora, Lara Dutta, Rajkummar Rao and boxer Vijendra Singh.
The finale night was a visual treat with amazing exhibitions from performer Kriti Sanon and artist Anushka Manchanda. Performing artist Malaika Arora Khan and VJ Yudhisthir tied down the show.
“Rivalry is intense consistently. It is difficult to pick one victor. Since if magnificence expos were simple at that point there would have been such a large number of beauty queens, and we would have had such a large number of more titles. It’s been a long time since we have had our past victor so this year we need to attempt and pack the Miss Universe Crown,” said previous Miss Universe Lara Dutta.
